September Athlete of the Month Nomination

Alberto Vazquez (#10) in game against San Bernardino Valley College

Strong, mighty, powerful, leader! These are just a few words to describe Alberto "Beto" Vazquez, starting Mid-Fielder for Norco College's Men's Soccer Team. Hailing from Bloomington High School, Beto has come on the scene and made a tremendous impact throughout the non-conference schedule to open the 2019 season. Standing 5'5", it would seem that Beto's opponents have a towering advantage over him. However, Beto proves them wrong time and time again. With his quick and agile feet, he swoops between defenders and attacks with relentless aggression. He leads his team with decisive action and a positive attitude. Beto puts the team needs first and is quick to admit when he makes a mistake.

The Athletic Staff at Norco College has nominated Mr. Alberto "Beto" Vazquez as the September 2019 Athlete of the Month for the California Community College Athletic Association. His passion for the game of soccer and commitment to his team's success are unquestioned. Beto has bright future here at Norco College and is a force to recon with now that conference play has begun within the Inland Empire Athletic Conference. Congratulations on your nomination Beto!
