Mimi Rangel joins the Norco College soccer staff after a stellar collegiate career at Long Beach State. Rangel, who continues to play the game professionally, a four-time Big West Conference first team selection and twice was named the Big West Conference Midfielder of the Year. As a freshman in 2013, she was named the Big West Conference Freshman of the Year and named to the all-freshman team.

In 2016, Rangel led Long Beach State to a 10-7-4 record and a spot in the NCAA tournament, which earned her the conference’s MVP award. Twice (2014 and 2015) she was named to the NSCAA All-West Regional second team. 

A graduate of Chino Hills High School, Rangel played for Legends FC for 10 years, winning a national championship. A four-time first-team all-league selection, she led her high school to an appearance in the quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division II playoffs as a senior. She earned first-team All-CIF honors and was named the Sierra League Offensive MVP.

After her career at Long Beach State, she was a practice player for Seattle Reign in NWSL League (2017); played professionally for Dinamo, Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Spain (2018-2019); HB Køge in Køge, Denmark (2019-2020); and professional indoor repressing Mexico (2023). Currently, she is playing in UPSL League for So Cal FC.

Currently, working for Football for Her, an organization that provides a safe space for those who identify as female or non-binary to play soccer, Rangel has coached youth soccer coach for Legends FC since 2020; served as an undergrad assistant for Long Beach State (2018); and an assistant at Saddleback College (2023).
